There are puppies for sale everywhere if you look hard; you can get puppies from kennels.
Pugs were initially bred as companion dogs, and they were never intended for any service whatsoever. They bear no relation to Bulldogs, and they belong to the toy group, being the biggest toy breed on earth. Modern Pugs have black wrinkly muzzles, sturdy bodies and twisted tails.

The breed appeared in ancient times in China, and it was shipped to Europe in the 1500s. First predecessors of the dog arrived in Holland, and later, the Dutch called them Mopshonds. They were not yet identical to modern Pugs. There are puppies for sale everywhere if you look hard; you can get puppies from kennels.
